THRIVE DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE (TDL)

THRIVE Development Basketball League (TDL) offers boys and girls in Grades 3 to 11 COED an excellent opportunity to improve their basketball skills in a supportive environment. This league is a recreational level who are looking to learn and grow their skills. The league focuses on teaching key rules, offensive and defensive concepts, and basketball IQ through modified games that promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and fun.

Each game is guided by dedicated referees, scorekeepers, and coaches, ensuring a positive experience. Players are divided into teams and compete in a round-robin format, with scores and standings tracked throughout the season. Games are played on a standard 10-foot hoop, with 25- and 20-minute halves to maximize playtime. Substitutions happen every 5 minutes. At season’s end, the team with the most wins receives championship medals, and one player is recognized as the Most Valuable Player. “Note: All players will be put into teams and will be shuffle every season, expect to be in different team each season for development growth”

Our recreational leagues welcome players who have a basic understanding of how to play basketball in a 5-on-5 setting. Whether you’re passionate about the game or just looking to have fun and stay active, our league provides a friendly and supportive environment. It’s a place where kids can enjoy playing, improve their skills, and make lasting memories while having a great time.

Schedule

THRIVE DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE train once per week and play in weekly league games every Saturday for 10 – 12 weeks per season.

Season: Fall – September – December | Winter – January – March | Spring – April – June

Tournament:

THRIVE Development League teams are welcome to participate in tournaments outside the league. Tournaments take place on weekends and include three games. Locations are within the Lower Mainland. Tournament fee: $75. Tournament: (May 9 – 10), (May 30 – 31), (June 20 – 21)
